The Pounder's Waterfront Pub exceeded our expectations for their opening weekend. Both the food and drink menu were packed with exciting and yummy choices. The food tasted great, and the portion sizes were generous. The drinks were creative and full flavoured. We came at a time when there was live music playing our favourite songs. The new seating areas provided lots of seating, and we all could enjoy the beautiful view of the water. Pounders is our new favourite spot in the County.
I went there and it was the best burger I have ever had. You all should try the big guy. Also, my girlfriend took the fish tacos and she almost licked her plate. I truly recommend this place by the lake for a cute date!!
Tasty casual cuisine. The schnitzel we had here was as good as any I have had in Germany. My pork sandwich was a bit small but it was tasty. Staff was friendly and attentive. A nice patio if you want to wat by the water.
My family came on a busy Saturday lunch and were treated with great customer service! The steak sammy, chicken sammy, and fish and chips were absolutely delicious. We had some leftovers and were happy to take some home with us on the drive back to Toronto :)

Went there in the summer and sat on the dock over looking the water. The view was wonderful. We watched swans swimming. A bird stole some food from our table neighbour, which was very funny. The fish was delishous, the salads were just OK mostly lettuces and not a lot of other veg. The burger was cook properly (the way I ordered it) they make a good drink too. Service was great.
The Fish and Chips are the best I have had in Wellington. The fish did not have a ridiculous amount of breading on it. It was perfect. Phenomenal taste. Staff is friendly and helpful. Wine is local, which is nice to see the support for local businesses.
Wow, what a hidden gem. This place is fantastic Our table had the daily soup special which was shrimp lobster chowder, a shrimp po boy sandwich and the schnitzel sandwich. Tasty and huge servings. Will definitely come back. Thanks to our server Kat.
